What does The Arya Foundation do?
The Arya Foundation provides need-based adaptive equipment to children with special needs in the Greater St. Louis Region. Founded in 2014, we are 100% volunteer-run and over 90% of individual donations go directly to providing adaptive equipment and services.
What area does The Arya Foundation serve?
The Arya Foundation currently serves the Greater St. Louis Region.

Who can refer my child?
Your child’s case manager, social worker, school teacher, therapist, family friend, or any service provider working with your child can provide the referral.
How are grants provided to families?
A check payable to the provider will be mailed to the family or the equipment will be shipped to the family, depending on the equipment.
What value does the adaptive equipment have to be?
The adaptive equipment can be of any value but the financial assistance will be granted for up to $1000 per child per year. The applicant is responsible for the remaining value.
What adaptive equipment is eligible under The Arya Foundation?
Any need-based adaptive equipment including but not limited to:
Mobility equipment
Specialized walking aids
Portable ramps
Specialized seating
Electronic communication aids
Bath support/equipment
Specialized beds/mattresses

What is not eligible under The Arya Foundation?
The Arya Foundation does not provide:
Home modifications of any kind
Any services, programs, therapy, or camps
Any medical tests or Doctor fees
Any software or app
Financial assistance for adaptive equipment already purchased and paid for
Maintenance or on-going costs of adaptive equipment
Any item sold in packages of more than one
Who owns the adaptive equipment?
The Arya Foundation provides a single financial contribution per adaptive equipment and hence is not the owner of such adaptive equipment. The Arya Foundation will also not be held liable for any ongoing maintenance, repairs, and replacement.
Who is liable for the adaptive equipment?
The Arya Foundation does not assume any liability for the adaptive equipment and its use.
Can I apply if the child has health insurance coverage?
Yes, you may apply even if your child has health insurance coverage. It must, however, be an out-of-pocket expense or denial from the insurance.
How many times can one apply?
Financial assistance can be provided for one adaptive equipment per child per year.
Why is feedback necessary?
The Arya Foundation would like to know the impact of our services. It is also a requirement for returning applicants.
What is the processing time for an application?
Within 30 days of the application being submitted and the required documents being received, an application decision will be sent by email.
